The Leather Gallery + Hyperdense + Black Gums
The Old Blue Last, EC2A 3ES , [Venue Details]The Leather Gallery is a Franco-British quartet dealing in a post-punk/noise concoction that’s as savagely danceable at full tilt as it is crushingly heavy when it drops.
Hailing from Rennes, France, they return with a new set, stitched together with as much tenderness as sheer, unhinged fury, all under a bleakly dystopian, paranoid haze. Expect a venom-soaked vocal, guitars that slither and bite, a rhythm section capable of rattling headstones, and synths drifting into industrial and even outright techno territory. Proper nasty business.
